Eyal Yanilov, the head instructor of Krav Maga Global, started training in Krav Maga in 1974, at the age of 15. Imi Sde-Or, the founder of Krav Maga, noticed that Eyal was very good, both in executing the technique, and instructing other people, so Eyal was recruited to train instructors and advanced students. Eyal became Imi’s closest student and assistant. Imi personally granted him the Founder’s Diploma of Excellence, as well as a rank of Expert Level 8, the highest rank in Krav Maga
Imi and Eyal worked on the books that became the foundation of civillian Krav Maga. Eyal also worked on the new curriculum that utilized effective instruction methods. While spreading information about Krav Maga to the public, Eyal was also training counter terrorist forces in Krav Maga combat techniques.
Eyal traveled abroad, spreading Krav Maga to Europe and North America. He founded, with the support of Grandmaster Imi, the International Krav Maga Federation so that Krav Maga can become international. Eyal has personally trained the first generation international Krav Maga instructors.
Since Imi’s death in 1998, Eyal has continued the development of Krav Maga. He founded Krav Maga Global with that goal in mind. Even now he seeks to improve the techniques, taking into account the changing threats in the world. The KMG Global Team, a group of elite instructors under Eyal, is spreading the improved techniques. Civillians, as well as police and military forces, all over the world, are adopting it.
Eyal Yanilov’s Krav Maga Global is proud to preserve and promote the authentic mental, moral and professional path outlined by Krav Maga’s founder, Imi Sde-Or.
