Common Misconceptions About Krav Maga: Part 2

Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome once again to this week’s weekly update. Last week, the topic was about what other people think of Krav Maga. This week, the topic will be the complete opposite. It’s going to be about what the practitioner thinks.

Well, Krav Maga is known to be a no nonsense fighting system. It’s primarily designed to enable the practitioner to survive rather dangerous situations. People learn skills, and it’s tempting to throw your weight around. Knowing how to survive situations like this one can vastly improve self confidence.

However, while a little bit of confidence is good, having too much, and being a jerk to other people is wrong. The sheer craftiness of an extremely irate and determined individual cannot be underestimated. Niccolò Machiavelli, the author of The Prince, summed it up quite nicely. A prince can a very secure castle, but if the population hates him, he’ll never be secure.
